Jacob is an interesting one. He's 19 or 20, an Eagle scout, VERY active in his church (they adore him), and attending James Madison University as a music major. His goal is to be a High School music teacher. That's not terribly ambitious and he's very talented, so I expect he'll succeed. I don't know how he'll manage to repay the approximately >$150k debt he'll accrue while in school, though. (Perhaps his parents have the money. I doubt it, though, based on some of his posts advocating and almost pleading for forgiveness of student loans.)
Jacob posts a lot of political crap, but he gets positively incensed when I reply to it. (I'm apparently his only conservative FB friend.) He always accuses me of starting arguments - though, of course, he's the one who rips on President Trump in the first place. (Per my son, I am actually the one instigating the argument, though, since by definition there is no "argument" until a second person engages the first.)
Jacob has actually unfriended me before. So, in that respect, he's like clo. He posts provocative things and then runs away from those who correct him.
After a few months of having me unfriended, he realized that he was missing my choir and band videos so he sent me a new friend request. That must have stung.
And now we're back where we started, where he's again running away after learning that he might be wrong. Typical liberal.
JACOB: did Obama complain during all of his speeches? no, was Obama criticized for being black, yes, did he make that the central point of every speech, no, also Obama spoke professionally and did not continue to talk about John McCain or anyone he ran against in a negative way this far into his presidency. I get that you like trump, I don't, I probably never will, his mouth is disgusting to me, and his actions are nothing but disgrace to our country. You and I don't agree and you have a right to voice your opinion but please stop starting an argument or conversation on everyone of my political posts.
DECOMPOSED: I don't think you "get" my feelings about Trump at all. I just called him an egomaniac. I never supported him. Most of what you just wrote was wrong. Few people who are reputable ever criticized Obama for being black. We can discuss that further if you want to provide some links. I'm aware that some outliers did so, but the overwhelming majority of the criticism was due to his anti-American and hostile positions toward our police, toward whites, toward men, toward tradition, toward Christians and toward the country. As for Obama not blaming his political opponents, would you like some links to the many times his administration blamed his predecessor for things... even six or seven years into the Obama presidency? I think you've only been exposing yourself to one side of the stories and aren't seeing that there are TWO sides to almost everything.

In an ongoing discussion, Jacob is claiming that Obama only talked of himself to make a point that Hillary would further his agenda. However, he hasn't replied regarding my article about the 40 times Obama spoke of himself while congratulating the Chicago Cubs on their World Series victory. I don't think THAT was to help Hillary...
