I guess I'm in that camp. My cardiologist put me back onto statins last week after I told him I'd stopped taking Lipitor due to shoulder pain and problems sleeping (my ears were ringing). He switched me to a different statin called SIMVSTATIN (aka "Zocor.")
I'm no fan of statins, but I have a heart issue similar to OCU's. Cholesterol puts me at greater risk than most people. I'll try this new statin until the joint problems return. At that point, forget it. Not sleeping sucks.
