The murder rate of Caracas, the capital and largest city in Venezuela has been over 200 killed per year per 100,000 population. That's eight times the 24 per 100,000 rate in the capital of neighboring Colombia.

Chicago Still Isn’t the Murder Capital of America

Zim: According to a graph at the site, Chicago has a murder rate of
27.9 homicides per 100,000 people.

Saint Louis has a rate of 59.3 homicides per 100,000 people.

Washington D.C. is 20.1 and Baltimore is 51.2.

(Virginia Beach isn't even on the list.)
