One of the interesting phenomenon developing with today's family doctors is that if you do not go to see them once a year you will get drummed off their records as a patient and have to re-enroll as a new patient...

My brother had not been to the doctor in two years and when he called to schedule an appointment finally, they told him he was no longer on their patient list and they were not accepting new patients. He had to find a new doctor.....

MY family doc is retiring in November. I will need to be looking for a new doctor as I do need to see one occasionally for a refill of some meds to help with the arthritic spine... as well as when I get really ill from something........

I totally understand. I've noticed a correlation between how often people go to the doctor and how sick they are. If I never go, I figure I'll stay healthy forever.
