Thanks Zim. I will make a note, as I will be relying on the guaranteed surge protector for awhile.

Wonder if the battery will come in cheaper. If they're close, pays to buy a new one, probably. Future project . . .

Old APC . . .
If it's like the ones I'm thinking of two screws on
the bottom and the battery is supposed to drop out.
Unless the battery is all swollen up then I have to
pry it out.

The newer models have a plastic case with this 'thumb'
point one pushes in then a plastic lid slides off to
access the battery.

A battery outlet should have them in stock . . .
Bigger the battery the more they cost.
