I assume you are talking about surge suppressing
power strips?

Yes, with guarantees for replacement equipment if they fail. If they blow, I get a new computer. Smile I'd rather they don't though.

Yeah, gotta dig out that old UPS. In the city, I had the fish tank on it. My clown loach is now around 30 years old, give or take.

Dear Linda,
I assume you are talking about surge suppressing
power strips?

An UPS would be better - it also has the advantage
that if the lights go out your computer stays up for
a while - so you can finish something critical and
save your files before shutting down.
