I remember sleeping with an ice pack wrapped in a towel on my neck a couple of times.

It was supposed to be up and running at the apartment the very next day. Instead, Verizon's TV guy came to our apartment and gave up when he couldn't get the internet to work. (He DID get the TV working.)

We finally got another Verizon technician on site today and he had little trouble getting it to work. So we're good.

Now if only the air conditioning repairman would show up. We haven't had an indoor temperature below 80 since Wednesday. And it's humid, too. I look like a sheik, sitting under an overhead fan with a wet towel draped over my head and shoulders.
