...the f 35 is built more for it's stealth characteristics than fighter capabilities.

...on the original stealth airplane, it is almost totally invisible to radar, but it is so unstable that it cannot be flown by a pilot alone. It must have a computer to do most of the flying. I have oft wondered what would happen to a modern aircraft if an emp anti aircraft shell went off anywhere near it. I dunno if an emp anti aircraft shell is even possible.

Speaking of the f-35 going through its paces, it's hard to believe they can't even use the machine gun because the software's not ready. Maybe that's just because its a low priority, but wow.
