Religion is nothing but a system. Of Works by man to show everyone outwardly how "good" they are when inwardly, Jesus said they were full of dead men's bones.

In Jesus' days walking the earth and doing good here, you had this bunch called Pharisees and Sadducees.
The Sadducees thought they knew it all just lie their kin the Pharisees. They did not believe in the Resurrection which is another way of them asserting they did not believe GOD's WORD which they had, and they knew more than the creator.
Inside where people cannot see, they were morally corrupts and bankrupt, just like person.
Heaven is not a place where people like this who want others to think he is the picture of sainthood outwardly, while inwardly his heart is BLACK and full of sin. He loves NOTHING of the things of GOD and does not follow CHRIST else he would not do the things he has been exposed of.
Being a person who can now they have a home in Heaven and a GOD who is waiting for their arrival at the set time is all about a RELATIONSHIP with CHRIST, who loved US, His creation, who made us LIKE HIM, eternal, gave us an eternal soul and life, and he paid our SIN DEBT (penalty) on a Roman Cross for our own sins. All HE asks is for us to BELIEVE IN HIM personally and trust HIM alone for SALVATION.
DO NOT TRUST the Church or Religion.
TRUST in the ONE, the ONLY ONE, who has the POWER to destroy BOTH BODY and SPIRIT, and to GIVE YOU everlasting LIFE WHERE HE DWELLS and has prepared a place for ALL who will believe in HIM and HIM alone.
Salvation is by HIS GRACE through our FAITH in HIM alone, NOT OF ANY OF OUR GOOD DEEDS (WORKS), lest we should BRAG ABOUT it and think we deserve and merit to be in GOD's HOLY HEAVEN by how good we say we are.
OUR GOODNESS and GOOD DEEDS are as FILTHY RAGS in the sight of GOD..... That is how HOLY HE IS and how rotten we are. Yet HE loved us and gave HIS OWN SON to die for our sins and make it so that HE could REDEEM US back to himself.
YOU ARE RIGHT. RELIGION WILL FAIL YOU every single time... COUNT on it.

IT IS ALL OF INDIVIDUAL FAITH IN HIM, even as HE told the thief on the Cross next to him who believed HE was THE SON OF GOD, and that same moment the thief died, HE WENT TO HEAVEN and SAW CHRIST there and lives there today.
