Pregnant Woman Runs Over Man Who Allegedly Stole Her Purse

Christine Braswell, a pregnant woman of five months from North Carolina, was caught on video Wednesday afternoon running over the man she believed stole her purse in a Walmart parking lot.

Blake Bennett, a witness described seeing Robert Raines, later identified as the thief, rummaging through Braswell's bag before taking off across the parking lot.
Bennett went on to tell WLOS that when he exited the Walmart, the thief "had her purse and was pulling all of her stuff out."
The five-month pregnant Braswell told reporters that she initially chased Raines on foot, but decided her SUV was a more appropriate way to chase down the thief.
"He was with my purse and he took off and I took off after him, me being five months pregnant, I chased a little ways then come back, jumped in the car, threw it in gear and come across the curb and ran him over," Braswell told WLOS.
Both Braswell and Raines are facing charges for the incident. Braswell is facing misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, while Raines is facing felony breaking and entering, larceny, and misdemeanor damage to property.
Raines is said to have been taken to a nearby hospital where he is suffering from only minor injuries.
