Hottest day in Phoenix
Friday is the 25th anniversary of the hottest day ever recorded in Phoenix. The temperature peaked at 122 degrees on June 26, 1990. Planes at Sky Harbor International Airport were grounded for a short time that day. While that was the hottest day, it was just one of 10 extreme heat days in a row.

What's worse, it's only June.

In reality, the end of June is usually the hottest temperatures we get, in fact, tomorrow is the anniversary of our hottest day, 122 degrees. After that, moisture moves in and, yes, 110 and humid is worse than 115 and dry.
