NK needs to come down and merge with the S, but the opposition is Russia/China/Iran. Not a good combo.
And it looks like they, whoever "they" are, were able to take out the missile defenses for an entire carrier group (leading me to wonder about the wisdom of such a configuration. Our vulnerabilities seem obvious to the other side.
Then there's the new torpedos the other side has. I can't imagine defenses for them, they seem too fast to react to (especially if the Navy can't react to a whole ship approaching on a clear night. I'd focus on developing a system to automatically disable technology far from the ships/subs. Laser? Beats me, but we need something fast. The fleet appears vulnerable. Maybe our new stuff does the trick.
Very saddened by Otto's loss.
