No, dumbass ... he reportedly had an AR-15 ... a semi-automatic rifle that you can get in almost every state. You have to possess a special federal license to purchase and own fully automatic weapons in this country, so their existence in private hands are quite rare. Texas Department of Public Safety (state police) records show that police officers commit 10 times more misdemeanors or felonies and 7 times more firearms violations than Texans with concealed carry permits. Most of us carry semi-automatic handguns and a large percentage of us own semi-automatic rifles like AR-10s & AR-15s ... we would be at no disadvantage ... especially since law-abiding, armed Texans within the vicinity would likely outnumber the perps. We've had any number of instances, lately, where one armed Texas citizen has taken on and successfully defeated multiple armed criminals.

No, dumbass ... with more and more and more concealed carry permits being issued across the country, violent crime rates have dropped significantly ... unless you live in a "Socialist paradise" like Chicago where citizens are not allowed to defend themselves. And, you can hold your breath and stamp your lil' feet all you want, zzfart ... the only thing you can decide is whether or not to adequately arm yourself ... because The Second Amendment ensures that the rest of us can and will adequately arm ourselves against criminals and tyrants ... whether you like it or not.
