Here's the worst thing I have heard yet. De, this is the one I was talking about that I would post. I have to say I said years ago I felt there was a conspiracy to usher Islam in, world-wide as the global religion. I said it at a MEF meeting with David Goldman. Here's the proof.
This is written by Martin Mawyer of the Christian Action Network. They do good work.
This is as disturbing as it gets.
Feds Want to Convert Your Children Into Islam
It's Time to Ask Some Serious Questions...
by Martin Mawyer
Why does the federal government care that your child understands what a Muslim prayer sounds like?
Yet that is exactly the question being asked of students, grades 5 – 12, under the United States Departments Islamic education program called, Access Islam.
And how would you grade a student on a question of that type?
But there’s more to this lesson plan than this silly, ambiguous and pointless question.
Students are also expected to answer:
· What are some of the things Muslims say during prayer?
· What do Muslim prayer movements look like?
· How do Muslims prepare to pray?
There are 10 lessons plans in the DOE’s Access Islam program, which teachers can freely download from the Internet through the PBS Learning Media website. Over 100,000 teachers have taken a look at it, though it’s impossible to say how many have actually downloaded or used the program.
But obviously some have. It’s been used in California and New Jersey schools. And the Indiana Department of Education recommends it for schools in The Hoosier State.
Under this program, teachers are instructed to “Have students, individually, silently read the Shahada.”
The Shahada is the Muslim profession of faith. It declares that “Allah is God and Muhammad, peace be upon him, is his messenger.”
Then students are expected to “read about what it means to proclaim faith or belief as a Muslim.”
Afterwards, they must “focus on learning about the cores duties of Muslims.”
Such questions and activities are obviously geared toward one goal: Converting children into Islam.
And this is exactly what the liberals would say had these questions and activities involved the Christian faith.
Imagine these instructions being given to public school children:
Read what it means to proclaim faith or belief as a Christian. Silently, individually, read John 3:16. Focus on the core duties of being a Christian.
If this were a Christian lesson, it would be kicked out of the public schools faster than an ISIS terrorist could shout, “Allahu akbar.”
But converting children to Islam is not the sole purpose of this lesson plan. It’s also to turn these kids into Muslim evangelists.
That’s the purpose of this instruction given to teachers:
After students have looked more closely at each of the Five Pillars, divide them into pairs. Instruct each pair to create a poster about the Five Pillars to be displayed in the classroom and around the school to help educate their schoolmates about Islam.
The Five Pillars of Islam contains the Muslim profession of faith. It’s the very first pillar.
When children are expected to post the Muslim profession of faith “in the classroom and around the school” how is this anything other than turning our school children into evangelists for Islam?
Earlier this year, atheists forced Valley High School in New Kensington, PA to remove a Ten Commandments displayed that had been sitting in front of the school since 1957.
The school will have to pay nearly $164,000 in attorney fees as part of the settlement.
But if the Ten Commandments are forbidden to be displayed on public school property, how is it possible, then, that the Five Pillars of Islam can be displayed “in the classroom and throughout the school”?
But the Department of Education’s “Access Islam” program goes much deeper than having children learning the Muslim proclamation of faith and displaying Islamic propaganda posters.
Children are also expected to watch a video where a man converts from Christianity to Islam and then tells students, “Submit yourselves to Allah” and “Allah is the One true God.”
In addition, children are given a worksheet containing verses from the Quran and the Hadith.
After reading the verses, children are expected to give the meaning of the Islamic passages as well as explain how Muslims use those verses in their everyday life.
Where would the ACLU fall down on this if teachers were handing out Christian verses for students to read, much less having those same students give meaning to the verses and explaining how to use them in their lives?
Access Islam is ripe for a lawsuit, no doubt.
Hopefully, we will not have to go there and the Department of Education will do the right, and obvious, thing.
Christian Action Network has sent a legal “Letter of Demand” asking the DOE to remove the lesson plans from publicly funded web sites that are promoting it and to “immediately cease spending public funds on the promotion of the Islamic religion.”
We have also demanded that the Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, issue a public announcement that the use of this lesson plan in the public schools “violates the Establishment clause of the United States Constitution.”
The contents of this program is not only intended to convert children into Islam and make them evangelists for the Islamic faith, but also to turn teachers into Islamic scholars.
How else can a teacher grade a student on the sound of a Muslim prayer or a child’s interpretation of a verse from the Quran?
These are religious questions, not academic questions.
Access Islam is nothing but a Sunday School class on Islam and it has no place in a public classroom setting.
