Yep ... apparently the annual budget for Californication is $182 billion per year, and the estimate for their proposed state single-payer system is $400 billion. So, the math indicates that the "new and improved" annual budget for Californication would increase to almost 320% of the existing budget.

...I read an article the other day that said the single payer thingy in California would cost more than the entire California budget all by itself.
