If the fund was a strictly voluntary type thing I'd
support it . . . but, more than likely, 'they' want
'somebody elses money' forcibly taken and used to
'fund' the scam.

Wait. There already exists such a 'fund'. Isn't it
called 'The United Negro College Fund'? Great idea.
A good way in which black well to do folks can give
back and help send other blacks to college.

Or is the UNCF kinda like the Clinton foundation - a
charity in name only.

re: "insisting the university create a fund to pay education expenses for black students"

That should go over like a lead balloon. I'd actually support the idea - providing that it also stipulated that black enrollment be limited to the number of students the fund could support.

Based on the caliber of the black students I saw when I was taken community college classes a few years ago, that sounds like a good plan!
