Upon first reading, the case for dismissal seems obvious.
On second reading - one notices that the Professor's statements are extremely parsed - partial quotes in particular. Before calling for either the prof or the A&M President to be fired, I would have to listen to exactly what the Prof said, in context. I smell a set-up on this one.
People could easily use 'partial quotes' and their own 'portrayal' (ie. don't quote it, but give their own version) of what was said by ANY of us on this board to paint very ugly portraits - as the 'other' board already does.
