I miss you guys but am proud of all you accomplished!

My life has changed radically and through circumstances that are expected, but no one is really ever prepared for.
It is affecting my health.
Since my mother passed at the end of July, of which nobody in the family took care of anything, so I was forced to step in and make all arrangements, place mom's Obituary in the paper besides writing it, and had to be the speaker at her service... Plus arranged the services.

Then I was obligated to become my father's legal power of attorney and run all of his household affairs as he has dementia and has gone downhill further.

I now am asking doctor to begin papers to appoint me his legal guardian. My siblings are ZERO help. nobody wants to deal with anything and if I do not stay involved and on top of it, it does not get done.

SO , every day and every week is an adventure. He won;t leave his house and come to live across the street from me, he won;t do what the doctor ordered, and he always has some answer for why not that is just like something a child would say in full rebellion.

If he were to live here across the street from me, I could take care of him with my wife, have his meals with US, and still have some independence in his own smaller ranch home. I can keep an eye on him easier instead of driving from one side of the city clear to the other side.

Re-arranging his finances, making sure he is eating right, and trying to stop him from spending too much money unnecessarily, are difficult to accomplish with a renegade.

Yet, he is still my father....

So, I basically always have stress and issues going on and not much rest or peace.

Congrats to all you on your successes with folding.

Hope things are good for you at your homes.

My best to you all,

micro....
