Micro....THAT is tough news BUT be reassured that you can be fixed! Last summer I had 13 nerve impingment fixed in a 9+hour surgery. Long one but when I awoke ALL the discomfort was gone. I had a decompression and fusion of 4 vertebrae. Recovery was not that bad and I played golf 8 weeks after surgery. Lingering neuropathy is a problem BUT Lyrica or gabapentin helps that a lot. Was home in 5 days. NOTE: I was 74 at the time (still am and a little more). Kind of a strange way to avoid me!

Now, in our area Dr's. are performing "scopes for repair of 1-2 discs......home same day. I'm going in this pm for a mylogram on the extreme lower back.....have an occasional pinched nerve and I am hoping for a nerve block. NO MORE SURGERY though.

Keep us posted and listen to the Doc.............excercise is overated after the fact.

P.S. Hi Sun! Please keep praying. I just read the report from the radiologist.

It ain't pretty and explains a lot. I kinda accidentally on purpose opened up the envelope I am taking to Spine doctor and made a copy so I know what is going as well.

When the word STENOSIS is used in four places and rubbing against nerves twice and degenerative and bulging discs, it tells me everything I need to know.

Please take care of Shuffles and Boomer if ya can or get Mark or Don or PCJ as well.

I am on too much pain med to really think straight and I have a new appreciation for why people sometimes end their own lives. Not saying I would but I do understand what serious pain is about.
