FYI - Recent events in the family brought some image files home, mammogram, knee MRI files.. Couldn’t read them directly on my Mac, but I found a rather amazing piece to FREE software, a bit more than just a viewer, it allows creation of 3D images, as well as exporting as .mov files, or simply burning the files back out to CDs... It’s called OsiriX.

If you have the data files CD in the drive it gives you the option to make alias links to the files or it will Import then all for your perusal.. Very slick application, and on top of the desktop version, there are iPhone and iPad versions! How’s that for a freebie! If it needed to be certified as a diagnostic tool, then there are fees, but otherwise, zero...
