I agree re Netanyahu.
But whoever the new person would be should be free to do things of their own. That might or might not be an outright ceasefire.
And this isn't just about Israeli decisions. Hamas can still end the war today if they wish Gazans not to suffer. Lay down arms. Give back hostages. It's really very simple. I don't really blame Israel for continuing when Hamas still has hostages.
