Whaddaya know.

MTG forced Johnson into the hands of the Dems in order to fund the Ukraine War.

Who'd have guessed this would be the outcome of her art of the deal?

I suppose he might use the same method in any vote over his speakership. And any other sensible bill he has to pass.

It's MAGA that has lost here.

MTG has an ally.

So there are now two people thinking they can pressure Johnson not to support Ukraine, Israel etc by threatening to attempt to oust him as speaker, which only forces him into the hands of the Dems. And the Dems will provide him with the support he needs not to be ousted in return for... his supporting Ukraine, Israel etc.

I think MTG really is stoopid enough to think she has leverage. Johnson isn't going to resign. He can see she has no power to bend him to her will. Of course, he'd rather not get help from the Dems. But he's gotta do what he's gotta do.

If Trump is behind this, it's the exact opposite of the art of the deal. It's a lose-lose proposition.
