Tornadoes are not really our normal. The sort of ones that connect the clouds to the ground with a twister are vanishingly rare here. But one of those was spotted in process of formation about five miles away. I don't think it did any damage. But there were reports of two that did further away - rooftile stripping, caravan overturning levels. I didn't really think this country was the right shape and place for them, being an Atlantic island and so on.
