Professor,
I share a lot of those same sentiments. I liked Joe Lieberman. I could not stand almost anyone else on that side of the aisle. Like you stated, if he had run for national office with someone respectable and not a flaming lying scumbag liberal, I could easily have cast a vote for him.

To me, Joe was more of a normal person than a libtard. A common sense person.. He will be missed...

One of the very few liberals (not a leftist) that I actually respected, even when not agreeing with some of his stances.

He had integrity, and was honest. There are many Republicans that I would have for Lieberman before I voted for them.

John McCain was one of those, and Romney was even further up the list.

I turned away from the polls 3 times in 2007, and ONLY went to the polls because Sarah Palin was on the ticket. I was disgusted by McCain voting FOR the HUGE bailout package, over 6 TRILLION dollars, that GWB put on the table because of the supposed 'big crash' in the markets.

With ROMNEY - I refused to vote - saw not an iota of diff twixt him and hussein o'fuhrer.

Those are the only two times that came even close to not voting in the presidential elections.

In either one of 'em, I would have gladly voted for Lieberman.
