There will be no 'prep walk', unless he tries to flee the country, which he's promised not to do. He will surrender without a lot of fanfare, but he will be booked, fingerprinted, have a mug-shot taken and held until a judge sets the conditions for his bail, which I suspect will have already been worked out ahead of time.
