Read the article and you will find that the "death threats and stalking" rationale for their resignations is highly, HIGHLY suspicious. Take for instance, this paragraph:
"Herrera told the Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post that she was leaving due to threats and stalking, as well as understaffing and low pay. The publication reported that her deputies left for similar reasons."
And then, this one:
"Gillespie County Sheriff Buddy Mills said that though his office investigates every complaint that is made, his office did not receive any about threats toward the county’s elections officials and has not looked into the threats."
And then, these two:
"Trump’s 2020 election results in Gillespie County didn’t appear to have been in dispute.
He swamped Democratic challenger Joe Biden in Gillespie County in the November 2020 presidential contest. The Republican president won 79 percent of the vote there. Biden polled just 20 percent."
Sooooooooo ... the Gillespie County Sheriff's Department has received NO complaints about threats made against the county's election staff - NONE, ZERO, NADA. The Gillespie County election staff is really leaving because they believe themselves to be understaffed and underpaid. AND, there is absolutely no reason why any Trump supporters would feel the need to harass the Gillespie County election staff because the 2020 election results in Gillespie County were never in question - Trump blew Biden's doors off in that county 79% to 20%.
