Justice Alito included in the 'draft' that was leaked of his majority opinion on 'Roe v. Wade' the following statement: “The inescapable conclusion is that a right to abortion is not deeply rooted in the Nation’s history and traditions.” Apparently his law clerks missed the fact that Benjamin Franklin published a book in 1748, which at the time became one of the most printed and widely read books in the Colonies, which just happened to include several 'recipes' for herbal concoctions which were known to cause abortions early in a pregnancy's cycle. And there was no outrage from anyone, religious or political:

To colonial Americans, termination was as normal as the ABCs and 123s.
