I know some are asking about my grandchild, Mila. This is what her mom shared after her doctor visit in St. Louis this week.

Hi everyone!
I know it's been so long since I've posted any updates. Quite honestly we only made this page to update all our family instead of sending dozens of text. What we didn't know is that Mila's journey would spread like wild fire. It ended up being a blessing in disguise. We have been surrounded with fierce love and never ending support.

We haven't posted because there wasn't really updates to give. Things remained the same for months on end. Other than Mila's scars and her medication routine, you'd never know Mila was "sick".

We are currently awaiting our flight home from St. Louis. It was just mom and Mila this trip.

Today I get to bring some great news! Mila had a perfect EKG. Her bnp levels are the lowest they have EVER been and considered NORMAL!!!!!!! Her echo looks so good they cardiologist said he can't even believe it's her heart. Her pace maker still has 13 years of battery left and is being used less than 1% of the time. (It doesn't read any lower)

Sooooo. Out of 10 daily medicine doses, we are getting rid of 6!

But the good news doesn't stop there. They turned the pace maker down to the lowest setting. Mila will wear a halter monitor a couple days throughout the next few months. We will go back in September. If things look good they actually want to consider removing the pace maker battery!

She was an infant when she received her pace maker so it was placed in her abdomen. Because of that she has limitations and restrictions to protect pacemaker from any sort of impact.

Things are going great and headed in the right direction.

For those who pray for us, please pray that with medication changes and pace maker settings change we still trend in the right direction.

Mila deserves a normal future without limitations. ❤

Thank you to every single one of you who have been involved in our journey. Regardless of the roles you played. We are so thankful and blessed.

Love always,
Lorena

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service.
