iffen ya run out of either let me know. I have lots of leftover of BOTH of those that I do not use and are of no use to me. Plenty of meloxicam and gabapentin..

If yaa needs it let me know okay? Thumbs Up

As for the pit bull owner, there is a reason why one must keep that breed under very tight scrutiny as your poor best friend found out.. No such thing as a good Pit Bull.

You will have no choice likely but to file a case in small claims court and go there. More of your time lost when it should not have to be.

If they cannot afford renter's insurance they likely don't have in excess of 7 grand available either..

I am very saddened for the pain your pup is going through and could have all been avoided if the owner of the other animal had tied it, or made sure it could not escape the yard. It's tragic...

Thanks Micro for your support.

Yes - Roxie has Meloxicam and Gabapentin for pain and Amoxicillin to prevent infection.

And no worries you can call me anything you want. My email has been hydro_gen since the late 1990's - it was hydrogen and something happened so I got hyphenated LOL!!

As the most abundant element in the known Universe I was hoping we would become a fuel cell hydrogen based economy by now - sadly that has not yet come to pass.

Sadly my homeowners insurance would only cover something like this if our dog had been the attacker. I located the pit bull owner - I know she was remorseful yet I seriously doubt that they have any type of renters insurance. Tomorrow I plan on providing her a copy of the expenses thus far and politely letting her know I know most people cannot write a check for the expenses (and ore to come) and then maybe let her perhaps offer some form of payment. I told her yesterday there would be repercussions for their carelessness (they left the gate open!) yet today was not the day to deal with that and there would be a large vet bill. If no offer or reply then small claims court it will be. I do know they contacted animal control as I saw them at their residence earlier this morning.

Thank you again for the prayers - I do appreciate them.

Stay safe - stay FREE!!!

PEACE

Hydro
