...in these rivalry games where good old fashioned hate gives it an emotional boost because of state bragging rights and a lot of the players have played together on the same high school teams in the past ya can't discount anybody. Partly because of the emotional element and partly because a football bounces funny.

A couple of years back, cupcake auburn beat georgia and alabama.

If Georgia Tech only wins one game a year and it's Georgia they beat they have had a good season.

Ohio State and MIchigan? Those are two good teams and they are not all that far apart in the ratings. A funny bounce here, a fumble or interception there and ya gots an upset.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Today is a great day for college football. Rivalry week is here. Alabama has a cupcake game with Auburn. Auburn is not a very good team at all. If Bama is is half as good as it normally is with ALL of those highly rated recruited youngsters in its fold why wouldn't they be? If they were not then the coach should be fired..

Anyway, The Michigan-Ohio State game is at noontime. Ya can watch the plastic bowl betwen auburn and Bama mid afternoon and later in the day a contest between the two teams from Oklahoma, Sooners vs. Cowboys. That should be interesting this year.

The Bearcats won yesterday and finished out their regular season undefeated and strong. I think they were holding back because they have a tough conference chammpionship game against Houston yet to play.

I do not believe should they make it into the playoffs they will win. The competition is just too big and too talented. Those schools all have huge advantages over UC in its recruiting of the best athletes who are bigger, stronger, more athletic.. Just he sheer size factor on the lines is a difference maker.

So I know the Buckeyes and the Dawgs would just push the Bearcat line all over the place.

But it would be an honor just being there and competing..

Hope you enjoy the games today!
