Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day according to a calendar and a day set aside nationally when more sane and people who believed God were in power and knew that without the hand of God upon this new nation, we would not be the UNited States of America but a chattel state of a european power, which is what appears to be the demonic crats intentions..
As head of my family and oldest male in my wife's family I am head there also. I watch over my sister's in law, and the younsters who are my kid's ages. I provide counsel and help fix things that they don't know how to. It is interesting to be the family patriarch at such a youg age relatively speaking.
Your household situation may be similar or going to be in the future. It is a blessing...
As is custom we had our kids and sister's in law over for a family get together. My wife and her sister from out of town who spends the week here with us now and at Christmas, helped her..
The Feast was fantastic. As usual I over ate and made sure I tasted ALL the different pies afterward.
So I was up all night with indigestion but did not wonder why.. lol!!
I recounted with my family the hand of God upon our lives and how HE has guided us throughout these nearly 50 years of togetherness and how we were blessed in so many ways..
I recounted HIS GOODNESS and grace upon our nation and its founding and growth. When we were a nation of praying people and CHurch attending, Bible believing people GOD's hand was upon us. Reagan reminded us of that quite a bit and he was so correct..
It seems that as each generation is brought into here that the dependency upon HIM has waned and we have thought we cand do so many things all on our own. We o longer needed HIS help or hand of guidance and we through HIM out of our schools and said "we don't need you here anymore".
Hmmm. How's that working out?
The Bible declares that man is morally bankrupt apart from God.. That appears to be very true and plenty of examples to go around... One need only look at the mess we are in currently with a whole lot of GODLESS , morally bankrupt people in all kinds of positions that Biden has appointed and many godless repugnicans have agreed with and supported. So the ending of a once great nation is in its death throes..
I could quote bunches of scripture that are about nations being dependent upon God and subject to HIS leadership and leading them.. Also plenty about individuals and their hearts needing to be staid on HIM and HIS commandments, which are not grievous but are guidelines for living for HIM and being blessed because of our honoring HIM who provides everything for us.
Stoic reminders, no? Many would say to not be so "religious" whatever that is, or don't bring God into everything all the time.
Well, I would say is HE NOT in everything and anything thathappens is only allowed to happen By HIS power ??
Nothing escapes God's eyes or knowledge and HE already knows tomorrow because HE is there already waiting on us. HE is not bound by TIME as we are. HE is in the PAST, the Present, AND the Future all at the same time..
People have such a small view of GOD and no idea of HOW BIG HE really is. Hence, we have more and more leaving HIM out of decisions, aligning what HE SAYS about things withwhat our politicians want to run amok with and going along with them.
So I reminded the family of these kinds of things yesterday. I need to instill them into my own children and grandchildren so they are passed on to the next generation until Jesus COMES and earth shall be no more..
Thanksgiving is all about GIVING THANKS UNTI HIM who provided everything for us as a people, as individuals, and as a growing new nation. Without HIS hand of blessing upon US or the nation, we would not succeed in anything..
So I bow my head, get on my knees and give thanks to the one and only living GOD and the Savior who died for ME, and seek His forgiveness of my sins, and ask for HIS guidance and blessing upon my life and the lives of all my family, friends, and those who are called by HIS NAME.
May the God of Glory bless you all as you yield will under HIS authority and surreneder your lives to HIM for all eternity is my wish for my community of friends here on this chat board. Special thanks to Bob for providing this forum..
