They claim they pulled him over because he had no license plate. It was a new vehicle and the dealer had taped the temporary paper 'plate' to the rear window, like they do for everyone. Apparently that wasn't good enough when you're 'Driving While Black'. The police approached the car with guns drawn and they pepper sprayed him when they felt he wasn't being respectful enough. And they knew he was in the Army, because one of the officers threatened him by saying that if he didn't cooperate that they would make it hard on him with his superiors and that he could be charged by the military as well, if they wrote up the arrest warrant the right way.
