“Instead of doing their job, the Biden Administration suggested it did not have the sufficient resources and, remarkably, asked Texas to assist them in aiding their illegal immigration program,” Abbott said in a statement. “Texas refused.”

Federal officials asked Texas to assist with this issue, Abbott said Thursday, but he refused to help because testing and quarantining migrants is the federal government’s job (the governor’s office did not clarify the exact type of help he was asked to provide).

However, a Texas Division of Emergency Management spokesperson confirmed to Forbes the state has sent 40,000 coronavirus tests to four different border towns since late January, to help those communities deal with a recent influx of border-crossers.

So, the State of Texas has sent tens-of-thousands of tests to the impacted local communities to assist with their efforts to identify carriers. Good. But, it is worthless to help DHS since they are just going to release all of the foreign invaders into the general American population, anyway.

Officials in the border city of Brownsville say they’ve received 10,000 rapid tests from TDEM already, and Brownsville Mayor Trey Mendez told reporters Thursday he’s “very thankful” for these tests, which have helped the city identify 108 coronavirus-positive migrants since late January (an average of about three positives per day).

President Joe Biden’s administration has released on parole thousands of asylum-seekers who were caught crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, a massive departure from former President Donald Trump’s policy of making most asylum-seekers wait in Mexico until their day in court. Officials say releasing some migrants into the United States is necessary to avoid overcrowding federal detention facilities during a pandemic, but some critics have argued the practice could encourage unauthorized border-crossing.

You wouldn't have overcrowding in federal detention facilities IF you continued to make them wait in Mexico, you dumbasses.

Rolling Eyes

100 per day. That’s how many migrants have been released into Brownsville by Border Patrol, many of whom crossed with their families, according to Mayor Mendez. The city tests these migrants after they’re released from federal custody, and anyone with a positive coronavirus test is urged to quarantine. Mendez said the situation currently is not a crisis, and the city is not overwhelmed by the number of migrants.

So, the federal government is just releasing 100 foreign invaders per day into the general U.S. population WITHOUT testing them. Good thing the State of Texas is providing Brownsville with the means to test them. Better yet, why doesn't the federal government do its job and keep them on the other side of the border, eh?
