8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field*, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid*.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Here the ANGEL of GOD, likely Gabriel, the same archangel who visited Mary, DECLARES that the SON of GOD has been born in the city of David, (Bethlehem) and that HE IS CHRIST THE LORD.
Scripture has been fulfilled. Prophecies have come true and fulfilled as written!
CHRIST was BORN to TAKE AWAY THE SINS of the WORLD.
There was no room for the KING of KINGS to be born in a clean room. Today, there is no room for HIM in people's hearts because of their lifestyles, their unbelief and rejection of Christ.
THIS is the Christmas story, that the Lord GOD of ALL left HIS THRONE in Heaven because HE LOVED US, HIS creation, so much, that HE WAS WILLING to come to this world to be born as a HUMAN, and to become a LIVING sacrifice for ALL of our sins so that HE, BY HIS BLOOD, could redeem us to HIMSELF and so we can have an eternity in Heaven with HIM.
ALL we need do is simply TRUST HIM for what HE already has done for us. Ask CHRIST to come into your heart and save you. THAT IS WHY WE celebrate the BIRTH of The KING, THE SAVIOR, who Loved us, and gave Himself for us.
WHO else do you know that LAID DOWN THEIR life for YOU??

The BABY in the MANGER was to grow up and endure the agony of torture of an agonizing death on a Roman cross for YOU and for me.
HIS LOVE is what we celebrate. The LOVE OF GOD is what CHRISTMAS is ALL ABOUT.
