It's still raining but it should stop by around midnight. That'll give about 36 hours of rain in this storm. The only problem near us was street flooding, but even then there were only a couple low spots, like railroad underpasses where it really stopped traffic 100%.

This after noon I went into my old office for a retirement party for a long-ling fellow employee, Maggie, who was with us for over 27 years, working as a programmer, She was one the really good ones.

Anyway, on my to the office there were several streets where it was only safe to drive near the median since the far right-hand lanes were flooded up to the curb or even higher in a few places.

At least I can turn our sprinklers OFF for a few days now. So far this year (since Oct 1) we're already over last year's total for the full year, so this is good news. Granted, some of the burn areas are getting hit with mudslides, but it appears that things will be clear for at least a week so things will dry out.

It has been raining all night and continues today. So far, about an inch with more to come. While that may not sound like much, where the fires were burning a few weeks ago, this could be devastating. We've already had one flash flood warning for our area, issues just a few minutes ago:
