...murder presupposes some sort of premeditation. Maybe voluntary manslaughter. Same thing but not premeditated. Penalties about as stiff except no death penalty for voluntary manslaughter.

Roy Oliver claimed that, at the time of the shooting, the car was a threat to his partner who was up ahead. His partner testified that he was not in any danger from the way the car was being driven. I think this Texas jury came to the correct conclusion.
