Lately I have been bombarded in my snail mail box with advertisements
from "keepbirthcontrolaffordableva.com".

The latest missive has them screaming "Some Virginia politicians are
attacking our nation's family planning programs and threatening to take
away copay-free coverage of birth control."

Look.
It is NOT 'Free'.
By having the 'insurance pay for it' you are hiding the real costs
and driving up the real costs for birth control. Trust me, the
insurance companies are charging a LOT more to provide this
benefit than it ought to cost.

If you REALLY want to make birth control affordable, you need to have at
least three different manufacturers making similar products and selling
them over the counter at any drug store. This way the cost is visible
and no one manufacturer is going to gouge the consumers because
if they try people will buy the other guys product.

Think about it. Remember $600 epipens? Do you really think they
would have cost that much if folks could buy a similar product
from somebody else?

Look at the 'Affordabe Care Act'. What happened to the cost of health
insurance after it passed . . . Do you like skyrocketing premiums?

Learn to think.
Learn to look at what happens to prices of things whenever the
government tries to 'control' them.

Zim.
