YA know,
that school acts like finally catching up to what many high schools ALREADY are doing for common sense security is a huge deal.

What it really shows is that the Superintendent should be fired for dereliction of duty, and the entire school board should be fired as well.

ENTRANCE is ONE SINGLE DOOR PERIOD. THAT is the way it is here where my daughter teaches and at sonny boy's school as well. And that door is LOCKED from the outside so NOBODY comes in there without getting a clearance through the intercom and cameras first.

Secondly, there are armed adults throughout the entire school as well as a resource officer and one full time local cop.

There are 3 full time NUT JOB personnel on staff and in the school for those twinkies who stand out and just need a shoulder to cry on. This way they get their daily pacifier.

SOUNDS like another part of the problem don in Florida may be that there is a mixture of IMMIGRANTS here one way or another that simply want to kill Americans. Why the KNIVES???

Anyway, suck it up down there Parkland and realize common sense goes a long way. Those snowflakes don;t want to die carrying knives. They want 15 minutes of fame. (Infamy).DO not give it to them. Put a round right through their heart as soon as a knife is in their hand.

DO not let ANYONE know who is carrying. Surprise is the greatest defense... These people only want to dish things out. They do not want to be on the receiving end.

State troopers join patrols amid new tensions at Florida school where 17 were killed

Already heightened security was being bolstered Thursday at the Florida high school where 17 people died in a massacre last month, with Gov. Rick Scott ordering eight Florida Highway Patrol troopers to help secure the grounds. The move came after the shooting suspect's brother was arrested on campus, two students were caught carrying knives and another made online threats.

Also, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students will be given clear backpacks they'll be required to use when they return from spring break on April 2. Broward County Public Schools Supt. Robert Runcie told parents in a two-page letter that metal detectors also may be installed soon, and he outlined other security upgrades including student identification badges and a districtwide effort to require all school visitors to enter through a single door.

...so that just leaves the entire rest of the state of florida for nut cases to choose.
