IMO,

this TURD should be in GITMO with all the rest of his friends who want to KILL or MURDER Americans for no other reason than they think it's a sport or they don;t like you.

That is reason enough to snuff out a life, destroy an entire family for the rest of their earthly lives, and they have NO second thoughts about it. They are RUTHLESS, SOULLESS, HEARTLESS cretins who should be permanently locked up until they are dead....

Just as this would be assassin would show no mercy or remorse, none should be shown to him now.

The sooner so called officials grasp reality of this the better off everyone else who lives a law abiding life will be.......

Just how I see it....

That's it? You have no opinion as to whether the sentence was too heavy or too light?? Tsk, tsk. I'm disappointed. If it had been a threat to Hillary Clinton with the same circumstances and outcome, I have no doubt as to what you'd be saying about the sentence.

I read the article, and the sentence was far too light. The judge must have been an Obama appointee (by which I mean, someone who doesn't really believe in justice). Not only was this thug a National Guardsman, the article goes on to say that members of the community "lived in fear" of him. Thus, his threat was credible and not just a stupid comment spoken in jest.

FORTUNATELY, the actual punishment is more than just 6 months. This 23 year old will also find that his future is, essentially, destroyed. It will take a lot of luck for him to ever land a decent job. Good! That's going to hurt more than even two or three years in jail would have.

Of course, if I were in charge, it would be a different story. I'd take off his left arm at the elbow. He'd think twice about threatening someone's life after that, I'll tell you.

National Guardsman who threatened to kill Mike Pence sentenced

Nate Chute, IndyStar

INDIANAPOLIS — A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to six months in federal prison for threatening to kill Vice President Mike Pence.

U.S. District Judge Kim Gibson issued the sentence Friday to William Dunbar, 23, of Berlin, Pa.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, three witnesses said Dunbar made the statements days before the vice president, a former governor of Indiana, was set to appear as a keynote speaker at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa., on Sept. 11.

Local police told the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat that Dunbar was on duty last fall at the Army National Guard Training Center, 90 miles from the memorial, when he said, “If someone pays me enough money, I will kill the vice president.”

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that a Secret Service agent said Dunbar said, "I'll make a terroristic threat, I'll kill him. I don't give a (expletive). There's nothing they're going to do."

The newspaper also reported that the base where Dunbar was stationed did not allow him to be near guns and that members of the community lived in fear of him.

Dunbar was arrested by police on Sept. 8, days before Pence gave his speech at the memorial site.

His sentence also includes six months of home detention and a requirement to receive mental health treatment.
