I think the aim is limited: if you bomb children with chemicals, Trump will destroy your military bases.

Assad will now think twice before doing so because Putin can't protect him.

Putin has lost face and he can't stand that. But his military is not as powerful as he wants it to seem. He cannot stand up to the US. He is hoping to scare the US populace. But he's not stupid enough to start a war.

Lets see how Trump behaves after the international praise he's getting.
I hope he doesn't equate popularity with military action. This could create a monster of a different making.

While I support the action, we need to know what Trump's end game is, remove Assad? Get tough with Russia (talk about a turn of events) Putin must have buyers remorse ;)

I'm glad he took Bannon off the security counsel.
A pretty good week for Trump. Lets see if he tweets tomorrow morning, Saturday's always his worst tweets.
