Are Mike Pence's Dining Habits Weird or Sexist?

Would you dine alone with a member of the opposite sex who wasn't your husband or wife?
Mike Pence wouldn't - and it says something disturbing about how he sees the world - and a woman's role in it.
From Sean Spicer swallowing a pack of gum a day to the president himself rage-tweeting everything he sees on Fox So-Called News, the Trump administration is a veritable hotbed of strange behaviors.
But the award for weirdest personal quirk in the Trump White House has to go Vice President Mike Pence.
According to the Washington Post, "Pence... never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and.... won't attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either."
Does Pence just not know how to control himself or does he think men and women are incapable of interacting as equals?
