and now it turns out he visited the white house the day before. perhaps that is where he saw his documents! sounds likely.
if so, trump was giving nunes access to the documents trump promised to release within a few weeks. documents which the white house was making space for in advance by making the claim that by targeted "wire-tapping" trump meant untargeted "surveillance". not plausible.
next day, nunes paraded in front of the white house as if he was delivering documents they didn't know about. whereas it appears they gave him sight of the documents in the first place.
even so, it doesn't absolve trump of his contention that obama ordered wire taps on him. which is nonsense.
more reason for cynicism? nunes sounds increasingly like the committee chair upon which trump's bottom sits. the cover-up becomes the issue. there's no question that nunes must step down.
