This man is a fool. Why on earth is he having another news conference?
He's already revealed he is motivated by the desire to protect Trump, and demonstrated he will use secret intelligence reports to inform him, so he cannot be trusted to run the intelligence committee.
Additionally, he has also said the information was not related to the Trump-Russia investigation, and that it does not relate to Trump's claim that he was being wire-tapped.
The president claimed his predecessor ordered wire-tapping of Trump tower. Incidental surveillance is not what this committee is about. Speculating about whether masking is being correctly performed is an issue that wouldn't have risen to the committee level on its own. It would only be remotely interesting if there was substantial evidence of it. There isn't thus far.
But the poor saps watching Fox News think it's the main issue, of course. And Nunes is trying to help divert the committee in that direction. Rather than figure who the heck Carter Page and Roger Stone are.
