Of course, this is what you get when you put a cow farmer in charge of supervision of the intelligence services. Wrong skill set.

Send him to an agricultural committee to discuss pork scratchings and milk yields.

Basically, he's saying that Trump's team was in contact with people who were being surveilled. Nunes' complaint is that they were unmasked. But they don't have to be masked from permissioned intelligence officials (eg 20 at NSA and possibly hundreds at the FBI). So this is totally bogus.

What it does show is that the Trump team's denials that they were in contact with foreign actors was false. Caught again!

Incidental surveillance is not wire tapping ordered by the president. Ridiculous press conference.

"Nunes described the surveillance as most likely being “incidental collection.” This can occur when a person inside the United States communicates with a foreign target of U.S. surveillance. In such cases, the identities of U.S. citizens are supposed to be kept secret — but can be “unmasked” by intelligence officials under certain circumstances.

Nunes said his new information appears to show that additional members of the Trump transition team — beyond former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — were unmasked. This means they were identified in U.S. intelligence reports."
