A public option would also offer choice in the insurance market. If private companies are more efficient, then they will surely outcompete the government.
It is kinda obvious that in seven years of complaining about Obamacare, the GoP never had a viable alternative option other than to throw poor and sick people under the bus. And this is the problem. All they offer is brutallism.
