Trump Wants Bigger U.S. Nuclear Arsenal
President Trump wants to expand the U.S. nuclear arsenal to become “top of the pack.”
In a Thursday interview with Reuters, the president additionally revealed that he believes the U.S. has fallen behind in its atomic weapons capacity and that he plans to confront Russian President Vladimir Putin on the deployment of a cruise missile in violation of a recent arms treaty.
Reuters also reported that Trump said he’s “very angry” about North Korea’s repeated missile tests and suggested a missile defense system protecting U.S. allies like Japan and South Korea could be a potential solution.
