...teachers can't teach what they don't know so they send it home for the parents to do.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Baloney.

America's kids are being left alone with video games and never talked to. My wife trains teachers in special reading methods for kids that have problems learning to read, and she goes to schools ACROSS THE COUNTRY, and the COMMON THEME from teachers is kids that cannot interact when spoken to, they have no social skills at all, and do not know the meaning of words, and it is a mountain to climb to revert the damage tneir patents have done to them. The most teachable kids for reading are the dyslexic, who are very smart, and really try, and their parents make sure they get the special treatment t they deserve, so they can get going, and that's all it takes for them.

Don't talk about teachers and schools. You are clueless. Talk about parents and kids from homes that are unsupportive, or kids with low IQs, emotional problems stemming from broken homes, you name it, whose parents sue the hell out of school districts not to leave them behind. Teachers cannot tell parents "your kid is slow". They get sued.
