President Donald Trump on Monday accused the media of refusing to cover terror attacks.
“Radical Islamic terrorists are determined to strike our homeland as they did on 9/11, as they did from Boston to Orlando to San Bernardino, and all across Europe,” Trump said during an address at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
“It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. And in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons, and you understand that.” Trump did not get specific about which terrorist activities were ignored by journalists.
In recent days, top White House aide Kellyanne Conway has come under fire for repeatedly citing the non-existent “Bowling Green massacre" as a terrorist attack by Muslims. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer later defended Trump's critique during a gaggle with the press.
