It's still January - not too late for this - so I'm going to revive a game we used to play on Raging Bull where everyone will submit their predictions on a bunch of issues, and on 1-1-2018 a winner will be declared.

You will be asked to predict the answers to many questions I'll post... including possibly the Superbowl winner, the end of year spot price of gold, the state that wins Miss America, etc., with the winning answers being worth from 1 to 5 points depending on their difficulty. (Picking the Superbowl winner would be worth just 1 point and I expect many of you to get it right. Having the best guess on the price of gold will be worth 5 points and only one person will get them.)

That's the idea. I'll work out the rules shortly. This contest is open to everyone, even Farters, as long as I currently know them. If someone new shows up and wants to play, they won't be allowed to. But if some of the less-regular people (lkorrow, CTJ, snapits, joe-taylor, etc) who we know are real are interested, no problem. The winner will receive a prize. I'm thinking fifty dollars, either directly to you or as a gift to Bob in your name (Your choice.)

Interested? Star this post. If I have five stars, I'll formalize the rules and start working on the questions.

BTW, I'll be playing and I will be the judge, but I won't be eligible to win. If I get the high score, the second place contestant will be declared the winner.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
