I am struggling with defining the difference between a tainted election and an illegitimate one.

In the absence of evidence to the contrary, I think Trump is the legitimate president. But the election is tainted, nonetheless.

That's really the point. It isn't the right to vote or the practicality or the method. Just turns out democracy is disfunctional in the internet age. Because it is vulnerable to manipulation by outsiders to the extent you don't know what a genuine result might have been.

The thing this board was originally about was the problem of trust in the internet era. Here's where the lack of trust in a connected worldwide network has led. To a tainted election.
